Anatomy of a Spinnaker Broach. 🌀 We started starboard, planning to gybe to port — but one sequence slipped. The bow tried to clip the guy, but there was no “LOCKED!” call. The pole never went up, the sheet clew stayed free, and for five seconds the spinnaker free-flew. A tiny wind shift → uncontrolled cross-fill → full load on the wrong side… and the boat rolled.
