Another type of camera movement you can use is a pedestal shot. These shots are similar to tracking shots and often referred to as crane or jib shots. A pedestal shot is a vertical movement in the Y-axis, moving up and down, often with the goal to reveal or hide certain objects in the frame. Matt Nagy explains how to shoot one well.
