West of Lebanon, Bennett Spring will welcome anglers to its store for supplies and opening day tag purchases from 1 to 8 p.m.

March 1 is always the first day of trout season, and it always draws large crowds, but with opening day falling on a Sunday, more people are expected to celebrate.

Bennett Spring State Park near Lebanon, Montauk State Park near Licking, Roaring River State Park near Cassville, and Maramec Spring Park near St. James -- begins Sunday.
